(Las Vegas).- Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) announced the publication of the latest "GLI-19 Standards for Interactive Gaming Systems V3.0", for use by the gaming industry.

Over the past few months, GLI has worked closely with various industry players, including vendors, operators, and regulators, to ensure that GLI-19 V3.0 represents the most developed set of technical requirements and practices available in the games industry.
For this, GLI focused on several important objectives in the revision of this basic technical standard that includes:
- Provide greater clarity between technical requirements, which would be evaluated in the laboratory, and operating controls and procedures, which would be evaluated on-site after system installation.
- Align the various requirements of the GLI-19 with the overlapping requirements contained in other technical standards. For example, alignment with game requirements within GLI-11 and reporting requirements within GLI-33.
- Reflect industry best practices and global standards, while providing an appropriate level of technical guidance that is minimally disruptive to the industry.
- Improve sections on controls and operating procedures, including periodic safety testing to help regulators and operators create more efficient and alternative processes to monitor interactive gaming operations.
GLI-19 has been incorporated into its regulatory structure by multiple regulators of gambling, including Loto-Québec, Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, the Bahamas Gaming Board, the Gaming Control Board Michigan and the West Virginia Lottery. More adoptions are expected to be announced in the near future.
GLI-19 V3.0 translations will be performed against multiple languages in the near future. These translated documents will be published on the GLI public website for global consultation.
Each GLI Standard Series standard is the culmination of industry best practice and is continually updated based on industry feedback. GLI standards are true "industry standards" in that they are created using a collaborative approach involving thousands of stakeholders in the gaming industry. These standards are intended to assist regulators by creating technical reference guidelines that they can adopt and / or use in whatever way they see fit.
In addition to assisting regulators, the standards are invaluable to vendors who use the standards as a guide in their design and development process, saving time and expense. GLI-19 and the rest of the GLI Standards Series are available for free download on the "GLI Standards" tab located at www.gaminglabs.com.
